German Cocoa and Chocolate Value Chains

This study investigates the German market for dark, milk and hazelnut chocolate bars made from cocoa beans grown in Ivory Coast, Ghana, Ecuador, Nigeria and Cameroon – with the aim of providing estimates of the distribution of value, costs, taxes and net margins along the various links in the cocoa/chocolate chain.
